Hinchinbrook Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Tourism Inc. President- Mary Brown course coordinator was extremely pleased with the quality of the participants of this year’s course.

The course concluded on Thursday the 30th of May with all 11 course participants completing the course. Course instructors Robert Lyon and Mo Pederson (AgForce Training) stated at the industry and sponsors BBQ that, “The group of participants are job ready, motivated and worthy of employment.”

Over the 4-day course participants completed the generic siding induction course, undertook working close to powerlines training, partook in drug and alcohol testing, gained insights into the industry and most important gained experience operating tractors and cane haulage equipment. All participants will require further on the job training, but now they are equipped with the necessary inductions and basic training for the job.
