Wilmar Sugar and Unions Dispute
The recent industrial action between Wilmar Sugar and its employees has significantly impacted the sugarcane industry. QCAR was deeply concerned about the financial strain and mental health effects on our members and the broader community. Our comprehensive submission to the Fair Work Commission resulted in a temporary suspension of strike action by Wilmar mill workers, allowing crushing to begin and providing much-needed relief to all stakeholders.
