Enriching Soyabean Tour
QCAR members embarked on an enlightening soyabean bus tour, venturing southward to immerse themselves in the intricacies of soyabean processing at PB Agrifood’s cutting-edge facility in Toowoomba.
Here, they were treated to a firsthand glimpse into the meticulous sorting, cleaning, and grading processes that transform raw soyabeans into premium-grade grain.
Continuing their journey, the members had the privilege of visiting Mara Global Foods, where they delved into the intricacies of the cane/soyabean farming system prevalent in northern New South Wales.
Along the way, esteemed industry leaders generously shared their insights and visions for the future of soyabean cultivation in Australia, igniting thought-provoking discussions and fostering valuable connections among soy and cane farmers from across Queensland and New South Wales.
QCAR’s Collaborative Endeavours with Millers

We recognise the invaluable perspectives and contributions of our farmers, striving to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed with fairness and transparency.

QCAR’s Recommendations for Industry Expansion
QCAR has proposed recommendations to Sugar Research Australia (RSA) aimed at exploring the vast potential of the sugarcane industry.
By expanding cultivation on existing land and increasing production levels, we can meet global sugar demand while also capitalising on emerging opportunities across various sectors. From energy and food to fuel and fiber, sugarcane offers diverse applications that can drive innovation and sustainability in the industry.

I want there to be an Ingham in 40-50 years time for my kids and grandkids. We all want these small towns throughout Queensland, like Ingham to still be here.
QCAR is passionate about their members but also about the community. Not only does QCAR want farmers to do well but the whole community such as hairdressers and coffee shops to benefit from ther efforts.
