QCAR’s 5 Districts

Establishment of 5 District Committees & QCAR’s View with Wilmar Sugar’s EBA

In May 2024, QCAR made significant strides in its mission to support Queensland sugarcane farmers by developing five district committees across the state: Far North Queensland, Burdekin, Herbert, and Central Queensland. A new podcast is now available, featuring CEO Stephen Ryan, Deputy Chair Christian Lago, and ACFA Chair Don Murday, discussing the integration of QCAR and ACFA. QCAR also shared its views on the Wilmar Sugar EBA negotiations, with CEO Stephen Ryan appearing in an ABC Radio interview with Michael Clarke to address this critical issue.

It’s important the mills open on time to avoid negative impacts on the crop, industry and community.
